Did some work on Rei the last few days
Did some work on Rei the last few days. First off I got rid of those pieces that remain from the molding process and marked areas that have to be puttied and sanded. The kit was pre-assambled with sticky tape. The size shoked me a little bit. I thought this was a small kit. But 1/8 is MG height. That was somewhat unexpected.

After that I started pinning. Having only 1mm wire at hand was somewhat unfortunate. It didn't work well. So I used my trusty magnets to support the thin pins and will get thicker ones. The nice ladys at modelkituniverse.de forums suggested using flower binding wire at 1,5mm thickness. I'll search for those and redo the pinning.
Those magnets were really usefull at the hand. Two of the 2mm ones make the hand hold the umbrella.
One accessory isn't enough. So I created a Lance of Longinus with metal wire and added Mr. Surfacer 500 to get rid of the wired look. The result is acceptable.

And now the video:

Does the quality of your brush matter that much when hand painting small areas? I have some L-cheapo brush that I got out of a paint-by-numbers box a few years back. What kind of brush should I invent in if it matters and what price can I expect to pay?
